Abstract:

Poland plays an important role in NATO eastern flank, its borders being the border of the European Union at the same time. Nowa Dęba, DEZAMET S.A. registered office, is only 141 km from the border crossing in Korczowa with Ukraine (less than 2 hours by car) and the Podkarpackie province and its inhabitants have been directly affected by the conflict across Poland eastern border.

EU member states and NATO are aware that the security of Europe and its states is too serious an issue and that peace is not given once and for all, hence the increasing demand for modern medium and multi-calibre ammunition, of which DEZAMET S.A. is a producer.

The response to this emergency situation must be to rebuild the capacity of the European arms industry, in which DEZAMET S.A. already participates and intends to play an even greater role. DEZAMET S.A. has many years of experience in the production of ammunition and  an established position in the supply market related to the national defence – it is the only supplier of 155 mm artillery shells in the country. The abovementioned facts confirm DEZAMET S.A. particular role in ensuring the internal and external security of the Republic of Poland and the European Union.

The main objective of the RampUp4Dezamet project is to increase the company production capacity through 4 specific objectives:

1. implementation of automation in 155 mm artillery shells production processes;

2. modernisation of infrastructure in key departments of 155 mm artillery shells production;

3. optimisation of production processes through the application of process innovation  in metalworking of defence products;

4. development of technical personnel as a key to new production quality.

The implementation of the project will contribute to increasing DEZAMET S.A. production capacity and eliminating bottlenecks in the production of 155 mm ammunition as well as provide a greater sense of security for the European Union citizens.
