Dezamet on the anniversary of the 18th Regiment of Sappers in Nisko.

On Friday, 13 September, ceremonies were held on Pilsudski Square in Stalowa Wola to mark the first anniversary of the establishment of the 18th Sappers Regiment from Nisko. This unit, which is part of the 18th Mechanised Division, was formed as a result of the transformation of the 16th Tczew Battalion of Sappers, which had been operating since 1992. The regiment's commander is Col Sylwester Wlaszczyk, and the new unit continues the traditions of its predecessor, becoming an important part of the Polish Army.

The event was attended by soldiers, authorities and residents of Stalowa Wola and the surrounding area. The main moment of the celebrations was the awarding of the Polish Army Ensign to the 18th EOD Regiment. During the ceremony, promotions, decorations and awards were also presented, including the prestigious Iron Sappers statuette, which was awarded to Brigadier General Dariusz Lewandowski, a key figure in the creation of the regiment.

After the official part, residents were able to watch a military parade and a display of modern equipment used by the regiment. During the event, Dezamet, which is the coordinator of the RampUp4Dezamet Project (No.: 101170171).
