SAFE Poland. Conference in Kobyłka.
Today, February 27, 2026, an event entitled “SAFE - Safe Poland” was held at the PIT-RADWAR branch in Kobyłka. The meeting concerned the new EU SAFE program and its impact on the security of Poland and Europe.
The aim of the conference was to present the details of the SAFE program, which is a European Union instrument for increasing security and defense investments. Poland is to be its largest beneficiary, with the possibility of obtaining approximately €43.7 billion (almost PLN 200 billion) to strengthen defense, support services, and develop the arms industry.
Prime Minister Donald Tusk emphasized that the SAFE program is crucial for the security of Poland and Europe as a whole, especially in the context of growing threats and armed conflicts. He noted that the project was designed by Poland and promotes its sovereignty.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz spoke about the choice of the program as a step towards a strong Poland, Europe, and effective cooperation with allies, emphasizing that SAFE means “a zone of security and development.” The ceremony was also attended by, among others, the Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Armed Forces and representatives of the government and the defense industry, including representatives of “DEZAMET” S.A.
